The History of the Company
After another strategic decision, the AEGON Group dissolved its broker company, the AEGON Hungary Securities Plc, on 15 November 2004, with three goals in mind: to focus on trust management as a top priority, to establish a clear organizational structure, and to run a more efficient operation. In consequence of the change, the AEGON Befektetési Jegy Forgalmazó Zrt. has become the leading distributor of the AEGON Funds. This change has not significantly influenced the work of the AEGON Hungary Fund Management Co. The AEGON Investment Funds, the members of the AEGON Group and the trust management for third clients continue to be a main focus of the Company’s activity. By the end of March 2009, the value of the assets managed by AEGON exceeded 795 billion forints.

· 1997 Foundation of the Fund Manager
· 1997 Assets under management (AUM) reached 100 billion forints
· 1998 Start of the AEGON Ddomestic Bond Fund and the AEGON Domestic Equity Fund
· 1999 Start of the AEGON International Bond Fund and the AEGON International Equity Fund
· 2000 Start of the AEGON International Closed-end Equity Fund
· 2000 Assets under management (AUM) reached 200 billion forints
· 2001 The AEGON Domestic Bond Fund and the AEGON Domestic Equity Fund reached the best performance
· 2001 Sales agreement on investment units with Citibank
· 2002 Start of AEGON Money Market Fund
· 2002 Assets under management (AUM) reached 300 billion forints
· 2002 The AEGON Domestic Bond Fund and the AEGON Domestic Equity Fund reached the first and the second
best performance· 2003 The registered capital of the Fund Manager reached 1 billion forints.
· On 1 December 2003 the actively managed AEGON MoneyMaxx Express Fund started, which is unique in Hungary
· In February 2006 the AEGON Citadella Alfa and the AEGON Citadella Beta Derivative Funds started.
· At the end of 2006 the AEGON Domestic Equity Fund was transformed into the AEGON Central European Equity
Fund, its investment policy changed.
· In the first half year of 2007 we started further four funds: AEGON Asia Equity Fund of Funds, AEGON EMMA
Emerging Markets Bond Fund and AEGON Vision Derivative Fund.
· In March 2007 the AEGON Ózon Capital Protected Derivative Fund started, which was the first open-end fund with
capital guarantee in Hungary.
· In the second half of 2007 the first climate change in the country started, which received the name AEGON Climate
Change Equity Fund, furthermore the AEGON Bessa Derivative Fund and the AEGON EuroExpress Fund.
· In autumn of 2007 the “B” series of three funds started, which are denominated in EUR. They are the AEGON Central
European Equity Fund, AEGON International Equity Fund and the AEGON Asian Equity Fund of Funds.
· At the beginning of 2008 the AEGON Citadella Beta DerivativeFund receives the fantasy name AEGON Value
Derivative Fund,
·2008 The AEGON Hungary Fund Management Close Company and the AEGON Hungary Pension Service
Company bought the Uniqua Assets Management Company and the Heller-Saldo 2000 Pension Service Company. · 2008 the precious Award of, the best performing open-end public investment Fund
·2008 The name of AEGON Citadella Alfa Derivative Investment Fund, had been changed to AEGON Alfa Derivative Fund.
· 2009 the benchmark of AEGON Domestic Bond Investment Fund had been changed from MAX Composite Index to MAX index.
· 2009 The AEGON Value Derivative Investment Fund had been merged into AEGON Vision Derivative Investment Fund.
·As of the 1st of July 2009, AEGON Hungary Fund Management Co. will be part of AEGON Global Asset Management Company, providing additional value for our investors by further extended expertise.
